The Hamiets Agricultural Society held its annual meeting in the Council Chamber on Friday with strong farmer attendance and lively discussion. The President highlighted work by the Agricultural College and announced a spring show and sale of registered breeding stock, while the financials showed gate receipts were hurt by bad weather. Ratepayers Meeting Reviews Town Finances In Council Chamber
A fairly good turnout of ratepayers attended the annual meeting in the Council Chamber last Monday. Mayor Whinwster presided and reviewed the year's council business, presenting expenditure accounts under separate headings. No complaints were raised and a vote of thanks was given to officials for their conduct of town finances.
