Canadians Qualifying Event Produces Seven Manitoba Skaters
Over the weekend in Sudbury seven Manitoba skaters earned spots for the Canadian championships in Kitchener January 13 to 20. Mitch Giffin and Diane Ogibowski won gold in junior men and novice ladies. Bronze medals went to Cal Howard and Nancy Jo Pearce in novice dance and Lyndon Johnston with Janice Shampey in junior pace, with Shampey also earning a Canadians berth.

Manitoba to Seek Court of Appeal Ruling on Detention Act
