The Hamiota and District Recycling Group thanks volunteers for strong support and outlines accepted items for the depot. Accepts containers from plastics to glass, aluminum cans, plastics bottles after lid removal, newsprint in bundles, corrugated cardboard, scrap metal, and tied or boxed papers.
Approximately twenty Hamiota Collegiate students rehearse before the Christmas production The Golden Goose a children's play to be staged December 19 and 20. Forty more students rehearse Christmas musical numbers with Nora Kirk directing and Barb Brown at the piano. Leads include Chris Brown Cynthia Brown Sharla Gurr Kirby Sazaras and Dale Little with junior and senior high students supporting. The program aims for short evenings so families can enjoy live theatre during the holiday season.
