Rural council lamination yields calm, few contests
Last Tuesday afternoon the rural municipal meeting drew a well filled hall but less excitement than prior events. Wards 1 3 elected two year terms with Cochran Strachan and Stewart as representatives. Reeve Houck was re elected by acclamation. Ward 4 will see a contest between J T Pollock and ex Councillor R W Beaurish. Ward 2 saw Stevens retire and R Van Norman elected by acclamation while Ward 6 chose Decker also by acclamation.

Village Council Minutes Reflect Bills and New Meeting Plan
Regular village council session chaired by Mayor Whimster approved last meeting minutes and a list of paid accounts including Scott Reeder Andrew Hudson Chambers Echo etc. A tax sale plan for Park Lot 15 was authorized, Grain Growers rent billed, and a public ratepayers meeting called for Dec 2 at 8 oclock. Street committee reported reclaiming work and a $3.00 street job paid. council adjourned.

Orrwold Friends Hold Turkey Supper Social at Decker Home
Orrwold young men and Lavinia class members hosted about twenty five visitors from surrounding areas for a turkey supper and social evening at the Decker home. Mr Wright supplied turkeys, Mrs Decker the trimmings, and the night ended about 2 a.m. with a cheerful yell.
