Miniota Opposes Registration of Caveat on Municipal Lands
Miniota R M Council discussed a proposed caveat on land within the municipality on Nov 14. The owner agreed to conserve 10 acres of wetlands and 306 acres of upland habitat under a Manitoba Habitat Heritage Corp agreement. The council opposed registration, arguing the agreement should not run with the land in perpetuity and that future owners should not be bound. the land should remain available for agricultural use.
