Family seeks trained service dog for autistic grandsons
The Therien family of Brandon, Manitoba, hopes to receive a trained service dog from the National Service Dogs Training Centre in Ontario to assist six year old Travis and three year old Steven, who have severe autism. Training and travel costs total eight thousand dollars with families paying about 2800, and local groups raise funds through raffles and donations.

The eighth annual Ha Miota Christmas Dinner will be held December 25 at 4:30 p.m. in the Hamiota Community Centre with meals for about 30 delivered plus in‑hall seats, thanks to donations.
