No Smoking Campaign In Manitoba Clinic Initiative
The Hamiota District Health Centre joins a province wide Baby's Home No Smoking program by the Manitoba Lung Association. The plan, launching in May, informs new parents about dangers of secondhand smoke to infants, including asthma, ear infections, bronchitis, pneumonia and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome risk. Parents of babies born in the next two years will receive a door decal and information package for a smoke free home.
