The grant, from the Workers' Compensation Board under the Workplace Safety and Health Act, provides $10,000 for direct assistance and up to $15,000 based on trainee certificates. Labor Minister Norma Price said the aid encourages more first aid training among industrial workers and promotes safety awareness.
