Miss O'Neill Wins Big in Handicraft at Toronto Exhibit
Miss M. E. O'Neill, longtime assistant postmaster, earned two firsts two seconds one third and an honorable mention in the Handicraft Competition at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto. Her pieces include knitted baby bonnet tatting knitted ribbed socks and other fine work displayed at the Queen Elizabeth Building. The awards came from a field of ten provincial prize winners with display open through September 19 amid praise from CNE officials.

The W A held its meeting in church parlours on Thursday with 11 members present. A $20 donation was voted to the Sunday School for supplies. It was decided to inspect and redecorate the interior. A committee was appointed to review the matter. The program featured questions on Christian Education. Next meeting set for September 22 with a hoped for good turnout to decide supper.
