Manitoba will distribute 55.59 million in provincial municipal tax sharing, up about 6.4 percent from last year. Winnipeg will receive around 32.5 million, with 23.1 million for other municipalities. per capita police grants and direct municipal costs are specified.
Caprice Distributing Limited opens a retail outlet in Hamiota in the former Robinson Store space. Owner Garth and Abbie Gryder of Winnipeg run the 31 year old company with warehouses in Winnipeg and six rural outlets. Sherry Lawrence manages the store with Evelyn Ross from Boissevain assisting and ten staff helping prepare for August 28 opening.
