Birdtail River School Division No. 38 board met at Crandall on August 17 1972 with trustees Waddell Fulton Rapley Hyndman Armitage Falloon Mulake Kreager Butcher Hames and Lewycky present. Correspondence included Education Department Transportation Bulletin No 8 and Manitoba Association of School Supervisents seminar notices. Public Health Inspector Gym and Birtle Training Program were not approved pending more information.

International Music Camp Tour Reaches Paris to Berne
The 140 member International Music Camp 1972 European tour band and choir traveled from Amsterdam to Paris and Berne across France and the Jura Mountains. They performed in Luxembourg Gardens Paris and in Brussels Antwerp and Milano Rome remain on the itinerary with North Dakota venues set for August 24 to 27. The trip includes several concerts after Rome and a return to North America.

Cardale Church hosted a vacation school for 25 boys and girls with sessions Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday featuring singing worship handicrafts lunch and games. Wednesday included a cook-out and more games led by Rev. Aikman and volunteers Diane Fortune Patti Fortune Wendy Fortune Darlene McCormick Marie Phillips Karen Shaw Kim Shaw Kay Shaw and coordinators Della Radcliffe and Frances Radcliffe.

Operation Respect names Manitoba municipalities for 1972
Eleven Manitoba municipalities are designated Operation Respect broadcast areas for 1972. The program aims to ease hunter landowner problems with 18 signs per farm across 3 000 farms, funded jointly by the department and the federation. Landowners may pick up free sign sets at municipal offices.

Telephone Projects Planned for Three Manitoba Exchanges
The Manitoba Telephone System announced summer work in the Hamiota Oak River and Crandall exchanges. Hamiota and Oak River will replace aerial lines with buried cable totaling 39 and 33 miles respectively, while Crandall will bury six miles. All projects aim for winter completion as part of a systemwide buried cable program serving about 1,175 telephones.
