Surveyors Work On Branch Line To Birtle
Ottawa delegation’s push for a grant to bridge the Bird Tail appears to advance as surveyors arrive from the east and stake out a route from the town north west toward Birtle. The project would run west of the water tank, through Pedlow and Frazer farms, Edgar Alexander’s yard, crossing the O N R about 50 rods east of Decker’s. Government funding decision pending, but rapid start suggested.

Oddfellows Attend Church in a Body at Knox Church
The Oddfellows gathered for evening service at Knox Church last Sunday. Pastor Rev. H. Crozier delivered a sermon on Jeremiah 38 12 and 13 praising lodges and noting their societal role alongside the church. The talk likened Abedmelech to an old time Oddfellow and affirmed the group’s values.

Merchants Debate Weekly Half Holiday Plan
