Winnipeg seniors benefit from volunteer tax aid expansion
In Winnipeg over 1500 seniors with incomes under 9000 participate in a voluntary tax preparation program run by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba and the Age and Opportunity Centre Inc. Begun in 1973, the service operates at 17 centres this March with 128 volunteer accountants and 20 other volunteers aiding appointment setup.
