Hamiota area to host teen dances and pool opening
The Hamiota Aquatic Centre opens in June with school lessons and expanded programs led by Krista McKinnon. Volunteers are urged to help with pool building and landscaping while Mid-West Arts Council hosts April 25 coffee houses to fund a community sound system. Teen dances for ages 12 to 17 are planned monthly in various towns, with Gwen Snell coordinating and area teens invited to assist.
