Birthday greetings and town notes from Virden
A personal column from Virden recounts birthday celebrations for the author’s 29th or 120th jokingly, visits from friends and neighbors, gifts and meals, and local life. It mentions charity work by Katie Haskett of the Canadian Cancer Society, a mistaken identity incident with Alex Adams, and a hospital chemo day with stories of ice roads and shopping at K Mart. The piece closes with sympathy for Keith Kreutzer and a reader letter.
