Hamiota Manitoba April social evening at the Community Centre awarded life memberships to long time contributors. Denny Decker presented two films of local parades including the RM of Hamiota 75th and 100th parade, shown on two donated televisions. Hamiota chairs plan a May 3 Sportsman's Dinner featuring Bobby Orr Phil Esposito and Sam Richardson. An estimated 500 guests are expected at the banquet at Collegiate Auditorium with shuttle service from 5 pm. Oak River Ladies Aux of the Royal Canadian Legion met April 4 with one application accepted. Delegates Mary Baldwin and Gladys Cowan will attend the Hamiota meeting April 8. Roberta Ramsey read the financial statement for Winnie in hospital. The group donates 300 dollars to men and sent four get well cards and one flower arrangement. A ham and trimmings will be prepared for Winnie and family for Easter dinner.
