Management Program Planned for Virden
Manitoba Industry and Commerce Minister Len Evans announced an intensive management program for Virden businessmen launched March 31 and due to finish this summer. A pilot in Dauphin showed improved business stability and job opportunities, with the regional development branch administering and the Manitoba Institute of Management conducting the course. A Selkirk launch is planned April 13 followed by other regional areas.

The W L held its April 1 meeting with Past Vice President Mrs. F McPhaden presiding. Mrs Jury from Minnedosa outlined organizing a flower show. Visitors from Hamiota and Oak River District attended. Delegates Mrs W Clubb and Mrs S Henry were chosen for the District Convention May 3 at Strathclair. A five dollar donation was given to the Oak River Agricultural Society. Mrs A Henry reported 23 paid up members.
