ICG Applies for Increase in Manitoba Natural Gas Rates
ICG Utilities Manitoba has filed a complete rate base and rate of return application with the Public Utilities Board of Manitoba. The filing outlines proposed higher return on equity from 13.0% to 14.25%, updated depreciation rates, and new costs including higher property taxes and bad debt. It also covers increases from TransCanada Pipeline transportation costs and defers some rate changes to September 1, 1990. Overall 1989 revenue deficit estimated at 16.5 million dollars, with a potential 6.3% annual rate increase if approved. Hearings set for June to evaluate the proposal and review regulatory processes.
