John Linge Dies After Long Health Battle At Essex
John Linge, president of the First National Bank, died last Thursday afternoon near Essex after years of poor health. Born July 28, 1847 in Belmont County Ohio, he settled in Page County in 1882, built extensive land holdings, and helped organize the First Watsoner Bank. Funeral services were held at his home near Essex, with interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Surviving are his wife Glenna Birabl and five children, including Jim Blanch Everman, Mrs Florence Day, Mrs Gov. Currie, Clareoys Lingo, and Clyde Lingo. Margy from here attended the funeral.
