The Atchison Holt Electric Cooperative heads to Rock Port City Park on July 31 for its annual meeting. Registered members receive a 100 watt lamp bulb and refreshments. Bay Startz is named speaker with balloons for kids and a talent show featuring Trachens and Det rita, plus entertainer Jean Norman and Dusty Cummings. Auction of Eagle district school items and county housing data
The Eagle district school and equipment will be sold by bid on Friday July 27 at 9 30 am. The school lies three miles south and a mile east of Riverton or four five miles south of Farragut and three miles west. Items include desks blackboards playground equipment stove and a teacher's desk. The county housing census notes air conditioning in 355 homes, mixed plumbing in 1746 sound units, and 652 two car families among many statistics with statewide tables available in booklet No 17 Iowa for $1.25.

A petition filed in district court at Sidney seeks a temporary injunction against selling 420000 in Farragut Community School District bonds after a May election decided by one vote.
