At First Baptist Church a 10:00 Sunday school led by Superintendent L Van Meter and a 11:00 sermon titled The Law of the Clean and the Unclean and the Symbols of God's Holiness and Man's Depravity will be preached from Leviticus 16 15 this fourth in a series on Leviticus. The Junior Union meets at 10:00 with stereopticon pictures on Stewardship of Possessions. An orchestra number directed by Mrs J F Beal will follow. Mid week prayer and Bible study Wednesday at 7:00 in friendly welcoming church accompaniment for all including babies.
Fremont county board of supervisors met at the courthouse in Sidney in adjourned session, approving minutes, paying a long list of county and drainage expenses, appointing J. McCrame as county engineer for 1926 with a 2400 salary, and naming a drainage engineer. Additional routine reports and claims were reviewed and the meeting adjourned to February 2.
E L Stone and E K Christie pastors announce regular services next Sunday at Valley Fan Church with revival meetings to begin. Epworth League devotion at 6:80 pm, evening worship at 7:40 pm, topic Americas Debt to Other Lands. Rev Swafford to preach throughout revival series.
Miss Iola Barrows hosted a Valentine party for her Austin school scholars Friday. They played games and used a valentine box while Eskimo pies and candy hearts were served. A few visitors attended and all enjoyed the gathering. Mrs Rudolph Nahkunst spent Wednesday at John Naldeunst's home.
Mrs Seren Jebeoun spent Wed Beaday at Walter Johnson’s home aiding Wendell with care. Numerous visits and gatherings across Washington township include Mies fola Burrows at Harry Welder’s, a cereal demonstration at Mrs Walter Gordon’s, and a Masonic banquet in Hamburg. Community members listed attending events and visiting relatives as plans unfold for spring activities.
A brief social snippet records Monday at Chanen Cantine beans near the ball and a visit by Mr and Mrs Clark Beet to Berry Seed Company in Cla rinda last week.
Mayor Josep Simmons of this city, his wife, and her sister Miss Lovina Bur-Tens had a close call Thursday evening when a wheel flew off their car near the F. M. Harney home. The vehicle swerved and struck a telephone pole, slightly damaging both women but the mayor escaped unharmed. They were cared for at the Harney home where assistance was summoned.
