He, born January 20 1846 in Vermont, served in the Fourth Wisconsin Cavalry. she, born February 14 1847 in Ohio, wed in Springfield Wisconsin on February 2 1867. They have ten children, twenty-six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, with a long life of devoted home and family service.

William Appleton Shockley born Indiana April 16 1838 died Hamburg Iowa February 16 1922 aged 83 years 10 months 1 day. He moved from Indiana to Missouri as a boy and married Sarah Ann Judd August 8 1883. A Methodist Episcopal member he served as Sunday school superintendent and helped others in his community.

Brother of Farragut Man Killed in Lincoln Monday
Clyde Snook, brother of Farragut night watchman Fred Snook, was fatally stabbed by his wife in Lincoln Nebraska on Monday morning. The 22 year old Mrs Snook, born at Edgar Nebraska, claimed self defense after a dispute over alleged infidelity. She was jailed awaiting trial. Clyde’s body was reportedly taken to Axtell Kansas for burial.
