Last Friday a pigeon war hit the business district over nesting near the First National Bank. Birds breeding near the bank violated deposits and FDIC rules, provoking action. Edward, the fire chief, was hired to obtain a 2 gauge shotgun to deter the pigeons. Card fired twice, killing 13 birds, ending at an unlucky tally, according to the Macion Sentinel.
