End of a faithful life James B Brower dies in Missouri
James B Brower died at the home of his son Rev M F Brower southwest of Hamburg last Saturday January 29 aged 92 years 4 months 14 days. He was born September 15 1825 in Clermont County Ohio and lived in Indiana Iowa Missouri Kansas between moves he raised ten children three of whom with his wife predeceased him. Surviving are B R of Tacoma J L and J L and Mary of Kansas Mrs OCANaday and Mrs Thompson of Harrison County Mo and M F of Hamburg. He spent his final years in Kansas then Hamburg where he had been an invalid since May last year. He was active in church work after conversion in early life.

Bartlett Accident Injures Ed Leeka in Wood Chopping
Ed Leeka suffered a broken leg when a tree limb fell after a trunk shifted while chopping wood. The incident occurred about 50 yards from his home. his wife alerted neighbors for help as he lay unable to move. He was taken indoors and later became unconscious on Saturday. Dr. James Cole of Council Bluffs diagnosed the fracture. Also notes Rev Brower’s report of his brother’s death in Olympia Washington, with funeral at home in Olympia.

Justice Steve South once spoke the vows that began two lives in Watson. Mr and Mrs R B Blades celebrated twenty five years of marriage with about eighty friends at their Hamburg home. Twin daughters presented readings, a two course supper followed. They lived near Watson, moved to Hamburg years ago, parents of six, two survived.
