One Year Ago Hamburg Chamber Christmas Winners
One year ago Hollis Wingate won the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce Christmas contest grand prize. First prize was a Frigidaire mobile dishwasher and a red distributive prize went to Sarah Perry. A closing out sale was listed by Ray Drishell for January 7. Herb Coon resigned as zoning administrator. The State Line Cafe closed temporarily due to fire damage. Martin Phillips made the Dean's list at Iowa Western Community College. A daughter was born to Mr and Mia Jim England. Sandra and Barbara Ashler with Elizabeth Zanker enjoyed a few days in Mexico City with the girl scouts.
