Open Day supports Guyra Golf Club drive for Sports Queen
The Guyra Golf Club held a successful open day on Sunday to aid the Sports Queen campaign for Miss Pat O Donnell. Over 70 golfers from Armidale Uralla Nundle Tamworth and Sydney attended the course was in fine order and local enthusiasm was high despite carnival events elsewhere. Luncheon in the club house was hosted by the Sports Queen committee with Mesdames Smith and O Donnell leading volunteers. Donations to cover trophies added from Messrs Caddy and Cullen pushing the Sports Queen fund beyond £70.
