Obituary: Mr Joseph Ellis of Glen Buff Passes at 87

The death occurred at Arne end New England Hospital after a prolonged illness. Joseph Ellis, longtime district grazier and native of Aberfoyle, owned Glen Buff for 47 years. He married Jane Meehan sixty four years ago and leaves five sons and four daughters, twenty grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral from St Marys Cathedral to Armidale cemetery with Rev Father Meehan officiating and arrangements by T Crowley and Sen.

First Couple Married in St Colomba's Church Laid to Rest

The death of Lillian May Davis aged 46 occurred at her home in Santon Street South Guyra. A native of Glencoe she moved to Guyra in 1927 and was among the first couple married in St Colomba's Church. She is survived by husband Clarence and four children Ronald Leslie James and Mavis. Interment was in the Presbyterian section of Guyra cemetery after a service at St Colomba's conducted by Rev. B N McKie. Relatives included Mr Jack Davis of Rats and Mrs W Pollock of Glen Innes.
