Pygmies in African forests climb trees to harvest honey. They wrap bark around trunks and carry smoldering grass to smoke out bees, enabling their honey gathering.

Mr J B Noonan advised that 1 fons of Sebago grown on E M Huttons farm were for sale as FX material. The variety is not for general distribution but may be transferred to a southern grower for multiplication. Hutton noted the strain is well matured, better suited to sandy soil, and less grub sensitive.

Guyra Golf Club Results and Weekly Competitions
The Guyra Golf Club held a bisque par competition on the Guyra course last Wednesday with W Culla defeating opponents 3 up and Tierney 1 up. Stableford aggregates followed, led by R Copeland and C Mitchell at 69 with 55 points, and a tag competition for Miss Youman’s trophy featured Mrs Fisher and Mrs Mason among others.
