Bus service sought for South Guyra children
At a Friday meeting of the Guyra P and C Association Rev R A Harris cited 63 children aged 5 to 15 in South Guyra as needing a bus to Guyra Central School. He noted 29 families within 25 miles, potential growth, and that 10 to 15 four year olds would join next year, bringing the total near 78. A survey and district action were discussed with a request to District Inspector and MLA M F Bruxner.

South Guyra Endorses Service Motion After Debate
In a lengthy session on the amendment, attendees agreed to submit the motion to a vote. Supporters of the amendment urged the South Guyra Ratepayers and P and C associations to back a service request. The meeting endorsed the proposal after debate and thanks were given to President Mr Harris for his report and diligent preparation.

Hare Drive At Bald Blair Hare and Fox Shoot Yields Skins for Red Cross
About 20 shooters gathered at Bald Blair on the King's Birthday for the annual hare drive. Hares and foxes were tallied across north eastern and hilly sections with Dunn accounting for a large red fox. Scores list numerous participants led by Joe Schaefer with 12 hares and 4 foxes and S Kelly with 12 hares. Some fox skins bore mange and were left. skins will be given to Mr Parnell who will handle them with proceeds donated to the Guyra Red Cross.
