Support for Red Cross in Guyra raises funds total noted
Unstinted support for the Guyra Red Cross on Saturday yielded a net sum of £120 15s 11d. Breakdown includes stall 33 3s 10d, chocolate wheel 10 19s 9d, hoopla 20 10s, sale of buttons 30 8s 3d, coin table 15 4s 1d, and a dance 10. Wedding in Bundarra Church First in New Building
A stylish wedding was held at the Church of England Bundarra on Wednesday February 19 with Miss Irene Wilkie marrying Douglas N. Moore of Deoni Bunarra son of James Moore Gu. The ceremony at 10 oclock was conducted by Rev J S Hi Cante and marked the first wedding in the new church. Bride given by her father wore white with hyacinths and fly of the valley, bridesmaid Miss Eileen Clarke and train bearer Doreen Wilkie attended. Best man was Leslie Moore. After the ceremony guests gathered at the bride’s home for a reception before the couple departed for Inverell Saura Glen Innes Armidale.
