Telluride Power Board Reorganizes After UP&L Sale
Telluride Power Company directors were reorganized and officers elected after Utah Power and Light acquired Telluride. The new slate includes Wally Salt Lake City as director and H. Laughtin and J. The Gillinissa Munielpai Swimming Pool opens for the HA season today per councilman Dey Ko J Braithwaite. Kenneth Ger is named pool operator with hours 1 pm to 7 pm daily, including Sunday. Season and family tickets available from Mr. Gee. private parties possible after regular hours with operator arrangements. Pools and bathhouses were cleaned, and filtering machinery serviced for opening day.

Wind Twister Damages Mayfield Home Owners Estimate
A high wind twisted south down Mayfield street and struck the Christensen home Sunday afternoon while the family was away. The event caused extensive damage including a broken tunerial, roof hole, and a 15 foot uprooted cinder block fence. An empty 55 gallon oil drum was moved about 100 feet and small items rearranged. Damage to the Christensen home was estimated at 100 dollars.

Degrees to be conferred at BYU commencement

Michael Hanon an 18 month old son of Mr and Mrs Erva Hansen of Mayfield sustained bruises and abrasions when a pickup backed over him near Monsen home Sunday night. The driver Murray Chick parked on the curb, then left the vehicle and the child was struck in the upper leg. He was rushed to the Cunchison Valley Hospital for treatment and remained under specialist care for a back condition.
