About 175000 in Wool Pool Returns distributed to Gunnison Valley and Manti sheepmen. Eleven carloads of wool leaving by Saturday via Denver Rio Grande Western to Boston. Total shipment around 350000 pounds at 50 cents per pound for most, 45 cents for some smaller flocks. Expected year end total for the season could exceed 200000. Purchases mainly by Boston concerns.

Gunnison Ice Plant to Start Full Operations in June
The Gunnison branch of Utah Poultry Producers Inc completed its ice plant and plans full operation by mid June when warmer weather arrives. Bert Willardson said the plant can produce about a ton daily and will not run at full capacity until weather warms. The company also plans to handle four carloads of broilers from the valley and ship 1000 cases or about 30 000 eggs, with fattening pens to expand summer and fall activity.
