Dorothy Yardley daughter of Themes and Mrs Yardley has been named Gunnison Dairy Princess candidate to compete for Sanpete County title. She is an 18 year old senior at Gunnison Valley High School, active in Student Council Pep Club and chorus editor of the school paper Ride and White. She helps in dairy production with her father, who runs a dairy herd. Mr Yardley is president of the Sanpete County Dairy Breeders Association and a director of the Sanpete Molteles Association.

Mayfield Native Dies While On Business Trip
Junius C Christian sen a Mayfield native and Geneva Works executive of US Steel died on a business trip in Chicago. Funeral services were held Saturday at the East Sharon Stake Home. Born June 10 1900 in Mayfield he began work at the Trenton Plant in 1910 and rose to superintendent of transports and yards at the Geneva Plant. Survived by widow three daughters two sisters one brother and a circle of relatives including church and valley-area attendees.

A A Dennison of Salina died Saturday at the family home after a stroke Thursday. Born June 37 1880 in Sterling, he was active in church and community. Funeral services were held for Ada Bown Bartholomew 74 who died May 10 at Gunning Valley Hospital. Born June 20 179 in Fayette she grew up there and married Ameliw Bartholomew. Survivors include sons Gerald and Eimer and daughters Ester Peterson and LaVon Olsen among others. The service in Ephraim honored her long community work and she rests in Fayette Cemetery.
