A Tuesday night meeting brought together a representative group of citizens to plan reviving the Guanine Valley Livestock Show. The show had been postponed since 1950 due to lack of sponsors. organizers hope to hold it in mid May with attendance from Llota Club Marie Haneen Dairy Association Keith Boren and Hiding Club among others.

Former Resident Harold Erickson Honored at Memorial Services
Harold Erickson, a former Gueriledti resident born December 3, 1061, died May Zod at East Lake City Hospital. He migrated to the United States with his parents in 1865, lived in Salt Lake City and Gunnison, worked as a farmer and stockman, owned land near Payette, and helped found Gunnison Co-Op and the Gunnison water line project. He was married to Phoebe Gribble, had 12 children, and survived by his widow, siblings in Salt Lake City, 44 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Services were held at the Gunnison LDS Chapel with local clergy and community members participating.

Funeral services for Alma Levor Clement Jr were held May 2 in Gunnison Chapel. The service featured organ preludes, memorial hymns, and remarks by Bishop Woodrow Beck and others. Eugene Overfelt, president of Gunnison Valley Bank and a noted Junior Chamber of Commerce worker, was elected one of seven vice presidents of the Utah Junior Chamber of Commerce at the annual convention held in Logan.
