Gunnison graduation set as three schools plan exercises
Gunnison Valley high school Washington grade school and Lincoln grade school prepare to hold commencement during the coming week. Twenty six high school diplomas will be awarded with Dr Joel E Ricks delivering the address at the high school. The Washington grade school eighth graders and Lincoln school centerfield graduates will also present programs and receive diplomas. Seminary exercises are planned for the Gunnison stake.

Mayfield Home Destroyed by Fire
A Mayfield frame home owned by Peter Scow was destroyed by fire early Tuesday, likely from defective wiring. The six room building was a total loss with $3,000 to $4,000 damaged and only about $1,000 insured. Neighbors aided with a hydrant and nearby irrigation ditch but the flames left the family homeless.

Gunnison Women Win Stunt Contest at District Meet
Members of the Gunnison Business and Professional Women's club won first prize in the stunt program at the southern district convention held at the Forest hotel in Nephi. The team performed A Bird In the Hand and received an automatic electric toaster as a prize from Telluride Power Company.

Bonding Company Cuts Drainage District Debt Significantly
After two days of talks, the Landowners committee of Sanpete Drainage District No. 1 and the Bondholders Protective committee agreed to settle $93,000 of debt for $33,651.75. Landowners will pay through June 1, 1932, with $21,000 in bonds still outstanding. Local officials and representatives from the state land board and federal land bank attended.
