A L Clements Jr Dies Saturday At Veterans Hospital
A L Clements Jr 34 died Saturday at Veterans Hospital Salt Lake City after extended illness. Born March 17 1905 in Gunnison he was educated in Gunnison schools and Gunnison Valley High School class of 1940. He attended Utah State Agricultural College Logan and joined Phi Kappa Phi. He also earned LDS Institute of Religion honors and Jerod Christensen award for military scholarship. He married Verna Borneman in the LDS Temple. Surviving widowed mother Alma Lever Clement and Maude Kearns Clement and others attend the service.

Loris P. Allen of Gunnison received an honored Boy Scout award. Three Gunnison Valley Republican delegates joined Sanpete County in Salt Lake City for the Republican state convention.
