The sugar company accepted a $6 per ton rate with a 5,500 acre minimum planted, though Westview and Clarion resisted. After talks, the price remains $6 and 5,500 acres. arbitration may be sought if inaction continues.

President Invited To Address Editors In Missoula Trip
Washington dispatches say President Warding plans a Alaska trip next summer to attend the seventh annual National Editorial Association convention in Missoula Montana early July. The president is a paid member of the association, and plans include two deluxe trains for editors on a twenty one day tour starting and ending in Chicago. The party will visit Yellowstone and Glacier parks, travel across Montana visiting towns and mining and agricultural districts, with a water segment on Flathead Lake. Missoula will host the convention with three days of entertainment. the rest of the itinerary includes other towns and hospitality exchanges. A semi centennial celebration will occur in Yellowstone park, and in Glacier park editors will be welcomed in a traditional manner by local inhabitants.

Baby Boy Dies After Influenza And Pneumonia

Grant of pension to Mrs Eirza Kearns of Gunnison
Mrs Eirza Kearns, resident of Gunnison and known through the state, has been granted a pension of 12 dollars a month dating from September 1 last year. The pension was awarded by the federal department. Mrs Kearns is the widow of the late James L. Kearns, a veteran of the Minek Thiwl campaign in Utah’s early history.
