The Gunnison Businessmen's Association reported 20 members at the March 13 directors meeting. Plans for a full year of activity were outlined with chairmen named and initial committees appointed including Tourist Promotion led by Nell Rosenlund, Retail Trade Promotion chaired by DeVon Jensen, On The Job Training with Gunnison Valley High School led by Moyle Hanson, Membership chaired by Marlin Shaw, Highway And Industrial chaired by Bud Dylton. Veterans Day will be observed elsewhere. New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, July 24, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas are noted. Ellen F. P. Braithwaite 73, born in Sterling and long resident of Mund, died Thursday in a Salt Lake City hospital after illness. She married George A Braithwaite in 1912. he died in 1921. Survived by daughter Gene Barton of Salt Lake, two grandchildren, two sisters Dessie Thompson of Sterling and Jane Barton of Burbank. Funeral and burial were in Minth.
