Utah moves to reduce automobile crashes with the Motor Safety League of Utah. Governor Dern backs the non profit group, Malcolm Keyser elected president, a governing constitution adopted, and public membership at $1 yearly offered. An advisory council of civic and women’s groups will form, meeting next April in Salt Lake. Mrs. Bella McKenna visited Salt Lake this week.

Centerfield Burial Honors John Prows at Local Service
Impressive funeral rites for John Thomas Prows were held at the First Ward chapel with Bishop C. E. Peterson officiating. Prows, born November 12, 1884, in California, died at the family home in Centerfield after a life as a farmer and L D S church leader. Surviving are wife Mary and nine children, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Five speakers and several musical selections marked the service.

Axtell seven miles south of Gunnison prepares a modern electric lighting system supplied by Telluride Power. Poles for transmission were delayed but are expected soon. about thirty homes will be wired as a starter and ready by mid April. Residents expect a celebratory event once installation is complete.

Dinner Party Hosts Win First Prizes in Card Night
Mr and Mrs J Duggins acted as hosts for a dinner party for twenty on Thursday night with a seven o clock meal. The attendees played progressive 500 with Mrs June Metcalf and J E Metcalf taking first prizes and Mrs Hart J Sanders and Dr J A Hagan earning consolation awards. Red and white carnations decorated the home and the hostess was helped by her daughter Miss June Duggins.
