The Entre Nous club subscribed 125 dollars at its last meeting to start a fund for equipping public school playgrounds. A two week drive aims to raise about 600 dollars with a four member committee working with Superintendent Metcalf and faculty. The drive begins Monday for ten days, targeting parents and local business people, and possibly outsiders. The club also announced a noon luncheon with Brooks Fletcher and plans to host the Agricultural College Glee Club. The event is free to all.

Snow storm cuts power lines in Gunnison Valley
A severe snow storm last Sunday hit the Gunnison Valley and southern Utah, knocking down two trunk lines from the Benvet Canyon power station and blacking Gunnison for over a day. The Sevier auxiliary station provided limited relief while Mountain States Telephone sustained heavy damage southward. communications to the south were restored by Monday afternoon. The storm is expected to benefit farmers and stockmen as beet planting nears, placing land in prime condition.

Christensen Buys 40 Acre Tract in New Drainage District
Albert Christensen, who recently sold his farm, bought a 40 acre tract from H A Kearns in the new drainage district. The land was once famed as a top wheat producer but irrigation reduced output.
