Saturday Rites Honor Life Of Henry Jensen
Henry Jensen aged 90 of Axtell died in Mayfield of age related causes. He was born January 15 in Hedmond and spent most of his life as a farmer. Survivors include 1 child, 4 daughters, and 11 sons with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 1 at the Axtell Ward LDS Chapel with burial at Canterfield Cemetery.

Prominent Gunnison Valley Leader Dies At 73
Jowesh Harold Christenson, a longtime Gunnison Valley businessman, farmer and stockman, died of a heart ailment at home in Gunnison. Born October 1840, he served on the Gunnison City Council for 16 years, led local irrigation boards, and chaired area farm operations. Survived by many relatives, funeral services are planned at the Gunnison Second Ward Chapel with Governor Calvin L. Rampton delivering the keynote at the annual Matingulshid Service Award Banquet set for March 5, 1980.
