Bertha Simmonsen Called to Rest in Centerfield
Bertha Lena Simmonsen 64 died at home last Saturday after years of ill health and a stroke three weeks prior. Born February 11 1867 in Denmark she moved to Gunnison Valley in 1905 and married Niels J Simmons in 1909 at the Manti temple. Survived by husband two daughters nine grandchildren and funeral rites were conducted at Centerfield ward chapel with interment in Gunnison cemetery.

Extension work gains traction across Utah communities

About 25 carloads or 600000 pounds of gobblers from seven states including Utah sold by the Northwest Turkey Growers association for 185000 dollars net. Sunken Saddle Resurrected From Sevier River Mystery
A stolen saddle valued around 100 dollars, taken from Hyrum Olsen in Mayfield, was found moored to a pole under water in the Sevier River near Fayette by Elgin Mellor. Sheriff Ed Peterson recovered the loot, and authorities continue seeking the thief in a case dubbed the Sunken Saddle.
