Three Gunnison students from the eradicating class at the University of Wink lad earned places on the honor roll at the Hilltop 1050 commencement. Prop Knecht Lace Fyolinued and Nielson listed among those graduated with distinction.
Funeral services were held at the ward chapel for Mrs. Eldora Fredrickson who died June 12 in her home community after a heart ailment. Bishop Alvin Lyman presided with family speakers and musical tributes, including items by Leon Walde and Charles Han, a Mortensen reading, and several duets. The service featured prayers, hymns, and consoling scripture as part of the Mayfield district rites.
Edna Sorenson of Center was elected president of Pritchett. Mr Miemsant chosen as lot president, Mrs Erwors Richfield named vice. The slate outlines leadership roles for local community organization.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Funk of Sterling announce the marriage of their daughter Helen Funk to Charles H. Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Peterson of Gunnison. They wed June 16 in the Mand ward chapel, with a reception and dance later, planning a home in Gunnison after a brief honeymoon.
The Crimson Gaerthe Club invites entries for the June 24 flower show with a deadline at 12 noon. Entries must include display labels and full variety names. winners are expected to place highly in what promises to be a standout exhibit. General chairman Gilbert Prelutated and Garden Club members will oversee the event.

Born June 4 1876 in Cerleston New Zealand she came to the United States at seven and lived in Gunnison Centerfield. She married M Madeen in the Mant Temple. he died in 1926. Surviving are four sons Rulon K Madeen Sindy Thomas P Odell and Marion Madsen all of Salt Lake. a daughter Mrs AL Scott Linnell Salt Lake. three daughters and a foster son Mrs JA Hogan Gunnison Mrs Jack Salmon Salt Lake Miles Matsen Long Beach California Mrs Millie Parker Ensign Alberta Corda. two brothers Joe Nielsen Jerome Idaho Charles C Nielsen Centerfield. two sisters Mrs Dorn Hughes Salt Lake and Mrs Sera Christlangen Ideho Fella Idaho. one grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Timber permits to cut saw timber in the Mi Baldy district of Manti National Forest will be issued June 26 at 6 am in the Forest Ranger’s office in Manti. Maximum permit 5000 board feet per person with preference to those who logged timber here in the last two years. When 100000 board feet are issued, sales close for the balance of 1900. payment due the day of issue. Frankie Bolman Arva and Deen Peterson are noted in a Father's Day weekend family event.
