Manley Newman died in Dillne last Wednesday after a cerebral hemorrhage. Born April 11, 1887 at West Jordan, he lived in Sterling as a youth and later moved to Gunnison. Local friends and church figures led funeral services with tributes and readings, burial in Gunnison City cemetery, and a volley fired over the grave by Gunnison Guard Mount.
