All Motor Vehicles Must Be Checked
State Road Commission Chief Engineer K C Wright announced a new inspection window from June 15 to September 15 for all motor vehicles trucks and trailers for mechanical defects including brakes sights and horns. Native of Sanpete Man Dies in Salt Lake City
James Metcalf of Fay ette, Utah died at his Salt Lake home last Friday noon after years of illness from diabetes. He was born October 12, 1869 in Fayette and was well known in Gunnison through family ties. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 PM in the Salt Lake Memorial Mausoleum. Survived by wife Eliza Knighton Metcalf, two brothers Fred L. Metcalf and Vernon Metcalf, and two sisters Mrs. J W Christian and Mrs. R H Flickinger.

Tuft Funeral Attended by Gunnison Relatives in Monroe
Hans Tuft 84 died at his Monroe home last Thursday. Attendees included J A Tuft and J W Jensen relatives, plus Roy Tuft and H B Tuft. Tuft helped found Richfield Bank and served as its president for 25 years. He was born in Denmark and emigrated in 1863.
