Valley County citizens weigh bonds for new hospital
Voters in Garundson Valley communities including Gennlag Centertivl Maydeli and Fayway plan to vote next Tuesday January 10 on a 190000 bond package to build a 17 bed hospital with modern medical and support facilities. Centerfield Mayfield and Fayette vote shares range from 29000 to 98000 with a 20-year term funded partly by a local sales tax and Hill Burton grant.

E H Bardsley observes his eighty seventh birthday on January 49 1968 at a gathering held at the home of Mr and Mrs Edgar Wideon. He has pursued teaching and business careers in Cantor fold Cowbirfield Fayette and other Utah communities. Born to Joseph and Alice Duffly Bardien he moved to Cantor fold in 1087 and later studied at shoe College University of Utah and another institution. Charles A. Last 09, brother of George B. Lupt of Gunnigan, died January after a long illness. Born April 13, 1800 in London, England, he was a retired school clerk and former member of Rivers State High Council, veteran of World War I. Survived by widow Mildred Leavitt, a son Brentwood and two daughters, multiple grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral services were held February via Lareleton Cemetery.

Two Accidents In Axtell Involving Several Vehicles
Two crashes were reported in Axtell on January 20. A car driven by Oral Heilem from Axtell collided with a vehicle on Highway 29, injuring Mrs Barney and her daughter. Both groups received minor injuries and were treated at local facilities. Authorities investigated the chain of impacts including rear collisions and delays as responders joined the scene.

Rosella Manon completed a ten week tour through England France Italy Germany Switzerland and Denmark. In Aarhus she met relatives of her mother born there before returning to Utah. On arrival in Salt Lake City she was greeted by her sister Mary Lou Hanson and brother Elmort Hanson. Several others including Mrs Hyrum Whitlock Mrs Jena Bubba Murray Christiansen and two unnamed patients at Gunnison Valley Hospital are listed as injured after a car accident.

One Car Crash On US Highway 89 Injures Remainder
A late-model four wheel drive vehicle crashed on US Highway 89 about a half mile north of Remand on January 10. Murray Christion of Magness was injured with a fractured knee and facial cuts. Trooper Mil Hockett investigated with Sgt Coy Jonkon and others. The report states the vehicle left the road, struck the fence line, rolled, and the driver was ejected. The car was severely damaged.
Farm Bureau Banquet Set in Sanpete County
