Three Mayfield men en route to work at the Turkey Plant in Gunnison were seriously injured in an automobile truck collision on the Mayfield-Gunnison highway Wednesday morning near the depot curve. Driver Owell James and passengers Ed Oberg and Loyal Jacobsen sustained head and body injuries. Oberg is in critical condition at Salina Hospital with serious head injuries. The trio were rushed to Gunnison and Oberg later transferred to La Nina Hospital.
