Laid to final rest for Andrew Johnson
Andrew Johnson, who died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Madsen last week, was laid to final rest at the city cemetery last Saturday. Bishop H. Swalberg officiated as the services were simple yet impressive. A choir including Mrs. Emily Knighten and Misses Hima Pjeldsted Anis Myron and E. L Swalberg sang. Johnson was 76 and had no known relatives aside from one brother who has not been heard from in years. He moved from Nevada about six years ago and had lived with the Madsen family since then. His health had been failing for a year and he was bedfast for the past month.

Gunnison Valley Farmer Survives Severe Timber Accident
Alva B E Anderson president of Gunnison Valley Farmers Wyatley was pinned by timber while loading feed at Center field alfalfa meal plant. A childlike miscue caused the timber to strike and sever part of his ear. He was rescued and taken to Salina hospital for treatment.
