New Organization To Hold Meeting
The newly organized parent teachers association will meet at City Hall next Tuesday January 3 with an elaborate program of talks music and features. Officers include Arthur Larson chairman Chris Sorenson vice chairman Leo Gledhill secretary and Mrs J M Anderson along with Mrs Leo Gledhill on the executive committee. The slogan Every parent in a school once during each year one teacher in every home once each year. Five winter meetings are scheduled on the first Tuesday of each month plus a designated parents day the last Friday in January. The program lists athletics dramatics and debate literary work parties and reading with a high school quartet to contribute selections followed by a fifteen minute discussion. Citizens back of the organization express pleasure at anticipated growth and benefit.

Summoned by Death Peterson Dies in Salt Lake City
Per Peterson, uncle of John S. Peterson and longtime Gunnison resident, died at his Salt Lake City home on Christmas Eve after a brief illness. He was 75. Remains will ship home tonight for funeral services tomorrow. Survived by widow Dorothy Peterson, four daughters in Utah and Idaho, fifteen grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
