Dewey Land entertained the Centerfield Mothers Friday afternoon starting at 2 30 PM for a community game. The event showcased local teams and drew neighborhood participation in a friendly matchup.
Funeral rites for Elmer Wirth and other local veterans were conducted by community leaders in Gunnison. Speakers included Low D. Bardstey and Glimpy Nieleut, with hymns like Danny Boy and A Old Soldier. The service honored their country and families, with interment at Gunnison City Cemetery.
